Characteristics and Strengths
Toray International's greatest strength lies in its ability to supply not only carbon fibers, but also resins, release paper, films and other sub-materials necessary for manufacturing pre-preg and composite materials, as well as a supply chain that includes molding and processing manufacturers and logistics functions. In addition, our use of Toray Group's global network allows us to present various solutions related to composite materials and CFRP to our customers. We are the link connecting our customers to Toray and other manufacturers of materials.
What we can do
We are experts in security export controls and logistics for carbon fiber exports
To export carbon fiber, an export license from the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) is required, with differing controls depending on the destination and use of the product. The Toray Group produces carbon fibers in Japan, the U.S., France, and South Korea. We handle exports from Japan to Europe, the U.S., and Asia, including trade between overseas sites and Japan, making use of our comprehensive export license applications and conducting proper security export control.
We are available for consultations on developing parts with composite materials
We can offer weight reduction compared to metallic materials. Assuming composite materials, we optimize the shape of the component and select a molding method based on that shape. We can also offer injection molding materials, including short fiber material development.
